Why the coronavirus pandemic could be good news for the environment

Given the urgent need if we are to avoid catastrophic climate change of making a transition to zero-carbon energy systems, this actually presents a really excellent opportunity to do that in a minimally disruptive way.

Dr Emma Aisbett of the Energy Change Institute and ANU Grand Challenge Zero-Carbon Energy for the Asia-Pacific was interviewed by ABC Radio Australia for their story about how environmental researchers have noticed air pollution levels have plummeted in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.
