Dr Hewson was leader of the Liberal Party of Australia between 1990 and 1994. Since then he has run his own investment banking business and served on the boards of several businesses and charities including General Security Australia Insurance Brokers, Osteoporosis Australia and the Arthritis Research Taskforce.
