Head to Questacon for a theatrical demonstration on the beauty of light and how the sun can be used to generate the entire energy needs of our society.

The speaker will use lasers, light spectra and atomic building blocks to explain how scientists all over the world are moving towards the goal of a society powered entirely by the sun.

The talk will be followed by a Q&A session with the audience.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Professor Albert Polman is a specialist in solar energy research and professor of Photonic Materials for Photovoltaics at the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Come along to hear from one of the international research pioneers of nanophotovoltaics.
