Feedback from participants

As always the Energy Update 2017 provided an insightful year's end review of current global and national energy issues. A not-to-be-missed opportunity to spend time learning, reflecting and discussing key trends as our industry undergoes rapid transition.

Lisa Stiebel, QED Energy

The ANU Energy Update 2017 was a great opportunity to hear from knowledgeable people who are experts in their field. Dr Alan Finkel, Australia’s Chief Scientist, perfectly set the scene for the presentations ahead. The content was contemporary and topical, covered a wide breadth of issues and was suitable for academia, industry and government alike. The variety in the audience and presenters further provided an excellent networking opportunity for me.

Melanie Pill, Senior Policy Officer, Department of Energy and the Environment

The ANU Energy Change Institute’s Energy Update 2016 was a superb finale for an eventful year in energy policy. The Update offered a combination of insights from the IEA’s World Energy Outlook with presentations including international progress since COP21, an update on the global deep decarbonisation project and perspectives on the Australian energy policy environment. The day comprised an accessible program suitable for an informed audience seeking greater depth and analysis on energy in the international and Australian policy arenas. An annual event not to be missed.

Steve Blume, Director, Global Solar Council

Several staff from ITP Renewables enjoyed attending numerous sessions of Energy Update 2016. It was, once again, an excellent line-up of top-tier speakers addressing the critical energy sector issues of the day. Ian Cronshaw’s Special Presentation on the IEA World Energy Outlook and Jeremy Leggett’s Solar Oration were particularly well received.

Oliver Woldring, ITP Renewables
