Imran is a global expert on climate change and sustainable development and has been involved in leading climate change, green growth, clean energy, environment and sustainable development programs, policies and projects for over 20 years in the Asia-Pacific region. He has a demonstrated track record of achievements in senior management in international organizations, United Nations and government. He was recently the Director of East-Asia and Pacific at the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) in Seoul where he lead green growth initiatives in the East-Asia and Pacific region. He has been invited to speak at leading international think-tanks on climate change and sustainable development and has been a member of various United Nations expert group. He is currently an honorary Associate Professor at the Fenner School of Environment and Society at the Australian National University and contributes to thought leadership and research on climate change and sustainable development.
